The renewable energy landscape in Ontario is changing, and due to changes in the Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) Program, LIFE is leaning away from its "solar PV under a FIT contract" business model. We are still open to opportunities to develop wind, water and biomass or biogas under the FIT. We're also looking closely at opportunities around district energy, off-grid communities, behind-the-meter generation, and net metering applications. We are actively exploring new community energy models that will enable our members to continue to bring more renewable energy generation to Ontario. And we are actively looking for partners in these endeavours.
- Have you been thinking about generating renewable energy on your property?
- Do you have high energy consumption bills (>$1000/month), and roof or open space for renewable power?
- Are you developing a property or community, and looking for ways to generate power or to reduce long-term energy costs?
If you answered YES to any of the above questions, we'd like to talk with you about how we can help make this work! We are keen to work with innovative thinkers to develop new business models while helping build a greener energy future, and providing a solid, local investment opportunity for members of the community.
